Cozumel is a limestone island. That is enough geology for real cenotes and caves. It is not enough to clone the Riviera Maya roadside circuit (Azul, Cristalino, Gran Cenote, Dos Ojos). Those are on the peninsula. Getting there means the Playa del Carmen ferry plus a drive. Fine if you have a full day and are sleeping on the island. A bad idea on a standard cruise clock. On the island itself, the swim product you will actually be sold is a guided jungle tour to Jade Cavern / Cenote Chempita: tour-only, no public parking lot, usually bundled with a jeep or east-side loop. El Aerolito is a different animal, a cave-diving system with a halocline, for certified cave divers, not a family float.
